Sonakshi Sinha was born on 2 June 1987, to actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha. She has two brothers, Luv and Kush Sinha.

Sonakshi Sinha is an Indian Bollywood actress and model. She is popular for her role of Rajjo in 2010 hit film Dabangg opposite Salman Khan. The film also marked her debut in Hindi film industry. Sonakshi Sinha next appeared in Rowdy Rathore (2012) alongside Akshay Kumar. The film got very positive response from the critics and even opened to strong box office collections.
